About the building

The building offers approximately 5 700 m2 of versatile spaces, such as teaching spaces, research laboratories and office spaces, designed to support both teaching and research. The building is designed to offer flexibility to the operations of the university, which enables them to adapt to various needs and future changes.

The building was designed by SARC Architects, with Max Hartman as the lead designer. The building interprets the traditional red brick facade in the Otaniemi area in a modern way. The building also utilises various metal surfaces as complementary materials.
