Jan Holmström

My research is cross-disciplinary and contributes primarily to the field of operations and supply chain management. I work with computer scientists, construction and mechanical engineers to develop novel operations management approaches based on the use of product modeling, direct digital manufacturing and intelligent product technologies. My research objective is technology enabled innovation in operations management. My research approach is design science research in operations management. In my previous research I have explored the design of last mile logistics solutions for electronic grocery retailing, the impact of tracking and tracing technology in operations management, and the opportunities of direct digital manufacturing to transform service supply chains.
