Digivisio 2030 project
About Digivisio 2030
The Finnish higher education institutes have launched the Digivisio 2030 program, which is a joint, agreement-based program for higher education institutes. The key objective of Digivisio is to open up national learning data reserves for use by individuals and society, enabling the development of pedagogy and the renewal of higher education institutes.
In 2030, Finland is a model country for flexible learning in 2030. Learners are provided with data on their own learning in a secure manner. This enables and supports their learning throughout their lives.
‘Aalto University has an important role in this joint effort with Finnish higher education institutes, and we are able to share learnings from our own Digital Aalto program. With this vision, Finnish education will become a global pioneer’, says president Ilkka Niemelä, who also chairs Digivisio’s steering group.
Topical
Digivisio webinars are held approximately once a month. The webinars are open for everyone interested! You can find the programs, recordings, and presentation materials of the webinars on Digivisio's website. The webinars are held in Finnish.
High-quality digital pedagogy is crucial in advancing Digivisio 2030's target scenario. At the center is a continuous learner, whose expectations and needs differ from those of degree students. A continuous learner aims to acquire the knowledge and skills needed in their work alongside their job responsibilities. A continuous learner can be motivated by, for example, integrating studies into work, providing flexibility in assessment methods, and considering the time allocated for learning in implementations. Studies in digital pedagogy bring perspectives and solutions to these themes, among others.
Online courses, videos, and podcasts tailored specifically to the needs of the teaching staff can be found here.
