The Department of Civil Engineering cooperates with industry in all of its central research areas.
Concrete investigation at the Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering has a long history of cooperation with society and businesses in the field. Our cooperation efforts cover all sectors of research and education at the department.

Cooperation is crucial to our work, as it advances the practical implementation of our research results and brings our education closer to the realities of working life, for example through case studies.

Aalto University CE Partner

The department’s CE Partner programme provides businesses with a simple path to cooperation with Aalto University. CE Partner companies benefit from opportunities to present their work to the department’s students at events, offer students MSc thesis projects, get closer to the research conducted at the department and share their own research needs. The cooperation may also include larger research projects.

Monitoring, development, and planning of cooperation is done at annual meetings with the department’s professors and personnel.

Aalto University educates shapers of the future who meet the needs of your company through a robust combination of theory and practice. The agile CE Partner programme gives you an opportunity to influence and get to know the shapers of the future and find a cooperation model that works for you in research and education.

Low-carbon construction is our future.

Collaborate with us

Our work at the School of Engineering is inspired by the needs of society. We seek to contribute to the development of society by taking an active role in Finnish and international life – dialogue with a variety of stakeholders and cooperation agreements with the Capital Region municipalities and key partners support this aim.
