In my research work, I’m interested in the relationship between otherness and humanity. For example, how do mycelium, bacteria or, say, trees experience life?

‘Even though I work in the art field, my pieces are based on combining art and science. In my research work, I’m interested in the relationship between otherness and humanity, for example how mycelium, bacteria or, say, trees experience life. So, along with scientific facts, my method also includes human experiences. This way, along with otherness, I’m able to collect information on humans overall and on our relationship to the other lifeforms on this planet. I think that it’s interesting that we think that we’re in control of this entire planet, but in the end we need constant help from various plants, bacteria or fossils, for example.’
