Degree Programme in Visual Communication Design
The Unit of Visual Communication Design dates back to 1927. During 2007–2009, the degree programme was granted the title Unit of Artistic Excellence for its artistic and professional achievements. In terms of applicants, it persists as one of the most popular programmes in the School of Art, Design and Architecture (Aalto ARTS).
The visual communication design graduates work in publishing, illustration, non-profit organizations, as well as marketing and advertising, to name but a few. A growing number of graduates are choosing entrepreneurship, seeking new ways for the designer to engage with the society.
