Better to Wear
We get dressed each and every day: clothes protect us and help us express ourselves. We can dress better when we re-design the whole textile process from manufacturing to use to recycling.
Welcome to visit the three cool and resource-wise exhibitions ‘Better to Wear’, ’Infinite Materials’ and ’Loving Environments’ showcasing more than 30 sustainable and radical research and study projects.
Address: The exhibitions are located at the Väre building, Otaniementie 14, Espoo. Meeting point in front of the Väre main entrance.
The exhibition tours are not guided, instead visitors will visit exhibitions independently. There will be a host with you who speaks Finnish and English.
Some of the tour times are longer giving you a possibility to visit also the ‘Wardrobe Stories with New Order of Fashion’ exhibition. It is located at the Undergraduate Centre in a building that Alvar Aalto has designed.
Max 10 people / visit.
The Aalto students and personnel can visit the Otaniemi campus exhibitions without a pre-booking.

Construction gobbles up half of the world’s natural resources. Collaboration between scientists, designers, architects, the public sector and companies generates ideas that can make living environments and the construction industry more sustainable.
We need to radically cut our consumption of materials and energy by creating materials that are not just renewable but forever reusable.
Radical ideas and prototypes contributing to a resource-wise future. The exhibitions and online lectures are open to everyone, and they belong to the official Helsinki Design Week programme.
