Speakers
Bengt Holmström
Bengt Robert Holmström is the Paul A. Samuelson Professor of Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a joint appointment with MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Holmström is a microeconomic theorist, best known for his research on the theory of contracting and incentives especially as applied to the theory of the firm, to corporate governance and to liquidity problems in financial crises. In 2016, Holmström was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize (jointly with Oliver Hart) for his research on contract theory. Read more
Michael L. Tushman
Michael Tushman is Baker Foundation Professor, Paul R Lawrence, MBA Class of 1942 Professor Emeritus, and Charles (Tex) Thornton Chair of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business School. He is internationally recognized for his work on the relations between technological change, executive leadership and organization adaptation, and for his work on innovation streams and organization design. Mike is an active business consultant and educator, working with CEOs and senior teams around the world.
Maija Hovila
Maija is the Chief Analytics Officer at KONE. She leads analytics capability development across KONE to drive the utilization of data for even better performance. Maija has extensive international experience in the areas of data, analytics and strategy across consulting, start-ups and large multinationals in both B2C and B2B sectors. She holds M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics, strategy and international business and MBA from the University of Cambridge.
Matias Järnefelt
Matias Järnefelt has worked several years for Hilti, most recently as the Managing Director of Hilti Northern Europe covering the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries leading a team of around 2,000 people. Before Hilti, he worked for 14 years at Nokia in various sales leadership, marketing, and strategy roles. Matias holds a MSc. degree in Technology from Aalto University.
Tero Ojanperä
Dr. Tero Ojanperä is a world-renowned technology business leader. The co-founder of Silo AI, one of Europe's largest private AI labs. He is also a Professor of Practice, Aalto University. Tero is former CTO and chief strategy officer of Nokia and served in the executive board of Nokia. Currently, Tero serves on boards of several non-listed and listed companies. He is a member of the International Selection Committee of the Millennium Technology Prize and has been nominated Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
Timo Vuori
Timo Vuori is a strategy professor at Aalto University. His research on the psychological aspects of strategic management has been published in the leading international journals and won several international awards. He has taught and presented his research in leading universities, such as Harvard and INSEAD. He has consulted multiple Finnish and global organizations, helping them formulate and execute their strategies.
Robin Gustafsson
Robin Gustafsson is Associate Professor of strategic management at Aalto University. His research and teaching are focused on the sources of competitive advantages in platform economy, strategy in digital disruption, and platform and data business strategies.
