Biography of the speaker
Azra, born in Iran, lost her sight when she was 8 years old. Despite the difficulties, she didn’t give up and studied software engineering in Iran. In 2013, she moved to Finland and got her Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Eastern Finland. She has been working at Avaava Oy as Web Accessibility Specialist for the past 6 years and soon will join a larger company, Gofore. She is also an athlete in the Finnish Goalball team and getting ready for the European Championship matches. Last year, she went on an adventurous journey and visited 5 countries in 16 days alone.
