Hella Hernberg is an architect and researcher at NODUS, whose upcoming doctoral thesis investigates the roles of mediators in the temporary use of vacant spaces in Finland and Europe, partly based on practice-based research of her own work. In this talk, she will share key findings from her research, discussing how mediators broker between actors, negotiate structural conditions and build capabilities for temporary use.
