Online donations awarded to Aalto University in general will be allocated to the university’s fixed capital, the return of which will be used on average 2.5% annually for activities referred to in section 2 of the Universities Act, i.e. research, artistic activities, and/or teaching.
Donations to the Aalto University Schools will be allocated to the capital of the School in question, the return of which will be used on average 2.5% annually for the activities of the School in accordance with section 2 of the Universities Act.
The online donations allocated to the international exchange of the School of Business will be added to the capital of the grant fund, the return of which will be used for grants.
Other online donations will be spent on the selected target in their entirety.
Donations of 850€ and above per year to Aalto University Foundation are tax-deductible. The donation can be given in several installments throughout the calendar year.
For communities and corporations the maximum deductible amount is 250 000 €. For private individuals the maximum deductible amount is 500 000 €.

Aalto University has a fundraising permit granted by the National Police Board. The permit is valid throughout Finland, except for the Åland Islands. The number of the fundraising permit is RA/2020/1069. The funds raised are used to support activities such as research, artistic activities and/or teaching, in accordance with section 2 of the Universities Act. The organizer of the fundraising is Aalto University itself.
Online payments are handled by Nets. Finnish online banking is processed by Paytrail.

Donations of EUR 850 or more made by private individuals are tax-deductible. The donor may, if they so wish, provide their personal identity code in connection with the donation, in which case Aalto University will notify the Tax Administration about the matter on behalf of the donor. Providing a personal identity code is always entirely voluntary.
