Courses are open to students of all Aalto University schools. Russian courses should be taken in numerical order. However, these courses may be taken in any order: LC-8581 Russian 8 - Russian Business Communication A, LC-8582 Russian 8 - Russian Business Communication B, and LC-8583 Russian for a Specific Field.

Note:
*(o,w) – For ARTS, CHEM, ELEC, ENG and SCI students, the course fulfils the foreign language requirement of the University.
** – For BIZ students, the courses are compulsory language and communication studies for a BSc (Econ & Bus Admin) degree.

Which Russian course should I take?
If you have never taken Russian language studies, start with LC-8511 Russian 1 (3 cr) or LC-8501 A Foretaste of Russian (1 cr) (self-study course)
If you have studied Russian before, find the starting level that is right for you. For example, if you completed a B2/B3 syllabus in upper secondary school (high school), you might start with LC-8533 Russian 3 or LC-8544 Russian 4. If you completed the A syllabus, you might start with LC-8555 Russian 5. The course starting and target levels are indicated in the course descriptions. To determine your starting level, you may also contact the teacher in charge of the course.
