About the building
Sähkömiehentie 4 is also known as Mechanical Engineering 4 and K4 (short for Konetekniikka 4). The building is home to the Mechanical Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Sähkömiehentie 4 was designed by Jaakko Kontio and Kalle Räike, and was built in 1967. Small solar and wind power plants can be found on the roof of the building.
