Viima was previously also known as Mechanical Engineering 3 and K3. The building opened again after renovation and construction in the spring of 2023.

About the building
Viimaprovides a home for parts of the Schools of Engineering and Electrical Engineering, as well as Aalto Ventures Program, Design Factory and Startup Sauna.
The building opened again after construction in the spring of 2023. Viima was also known as Mechanical Engineering 3 and K3 (short for Konetekniikka 3). The building was completed in 1968 and renovated in 1987. The original designers were Blomstedt & Stenbäck.
