Aalto alumni as Ornamo Prize nominees - Design Day 26.4.

The 2018 nominees for Ornamo are glass artist Renata Jakowleff, interior designer Martti Lukander and fashion designers Anna Mattelmäki and Emilia Kiialainen.

Ornamo's Design Day 2018 will be held on 26 April at Aalto University. All Aalto people are warmly welcome to the event.

The discussion during the Design Day will focus in who is managing the design today as well as in the form and designers of the post-industrial society. The keynote speaker is Professor Karl-Erik Michelsen from Lappeenranta University of Technology.

President of Ornamo Kristian Keinänen and Aalto University Vice Rector, Dean Anna Valtonen will also speak at the event. Also a panel discussion of the Ornamo prize nominees will take place during the day. The moderator of the day is Design Manager at Muotohiomo Pekka Toivanen.

The winner of the Ornamo Prize will be announced at the end of the day. The winner is selected by the fashion journalist Sami Sykkö.
