Application open to the European Student Assembly 2025

The European Student Assembly (ESA) is a grassroots project that gathers each year around 250 students from the European Universities Alliances to debate current issues, draft policy recommendations on the future of Europe and advocate them among stakeholders and decision-makers. The call for applications is open until 1 December 2024.

We are pleased to announce an incredible opportunity for students from the nine member universities of the Unite! university alliance, including Aalto, to engage in a major European initiative—the European Student Assembly 2025 (ESA25). The ESA25, organized by the European Universities Community, will take place from May 26 to 28, 2025, at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This event brings together students from across Europe to engage in meaningful debates and draft policy recommendations on critical topics related to the future of Europe.

About the European Student Assembly (ESA25)

The European Student Assembly (ESA) takes place once a year in spring at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It gathers a group of around 250 talented students from several European Universities Alliances (EUAs) across Europe to discuss about essential themes of the EU. The event is back for this academic year at its 4th edition in 2025 and all Unite! students are welcome to apply!

The ESA25 is part of the EUC Voices Project, a collaboration funded by the Erasmus+ program, aimed at fostering active European citizenship. Over several months, participants will collaborate on eight key topics, culminating in a deliberative assembly in Strasbourg. Additionally, dissemination events will be organized after the assembly to share the outcomes of the discussions.

Why should you participate?

  • Represent the voices of students from diverse countries, disciplines, and study levels.
  • Collaborate with peers from the European Universities Alliances (EUAs) to strengthen the student community across Europe.

  • Engage with European politics and help regenerate democracy at multiple levels – local, national, and European.
