The Aalto Co-Educator Team
All Aalto graduates should have the capability to analyse and tackle complex sustainability challenges especially related to their own field, and to grasp opportunities for making a change.
Creating accessible and impactful learning experiences has been a focus for the Aalto Co-Educator (ACE) team. By supporting the integration of sustainability and entrepreneurship education into programs across Aalto University, the ACE team strives to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and tools to address real-world challenges. One way they achieve this is by encouraging and assisting educators to develop online courses, making learning more flexible and scalable.
Aalto OpenLearning is a Moodle-based learning environment for open online courses and educational materials created by Aalto teachers. Teachers can share course material, resources and other content such as assignments, quizzes and workshops. Aalto OpenLearning also provides tools for collaboration and interaction with students.
The ACE team has been involved in developing two entrepreneurship courses (Entrepreneurship essentials - small business and Entrepreneurship essentials - artist as entrepreneur) on Aalto OpenLearning. To encourage teachers to set up their courses on any Moodle platform, Håkan Mitts created a step-by-step video guide. After watching this video, teachers can add courses and content without stress.
The following practical video training is a how-to for Aalto teachers to put their courses on the platform.
