Prof. Dr. Daiqi Ye is Dean of School of Environment and Energy, South China University of China (SCUT). His research is mainly on the policies of VOCs’ emissions control, the characteristics of VOCs emissions, the control of VOCs, vehicle exhaust and indoor air pollution, etc. He has appointed as Principal Investigator for more than 40 research projects in the policy, theoretical research and technology development of VOCs and PM2.5 control, including National Key R&D Program of China, National Environmental Protection Public Welfare Project, “863” Key National Project Plan, NSFC-Guangdong Provincial Joint Project and so on. He authored and coauthored over 300 papers. Prof. YE is also active in entrepreneurship and technology transfer and has obtained more than 22 patents. He was awarded the China Patent Excellence Award and Second Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award.He and his group have developed a variety of VOCs adsorption and catalytic materials, and relative catalytic oxidation technologies. The developed VOCs control technologies and equipment have been promoted and applied more than 100 sets, and got involved in the construction of more than 80 industrial gases treatment projects. He participated in the research and formulation of national important policies such as the “National Ten Articles” for air pollution prevention, the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for national environmental protection, the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for key areas, and the “13th Five-Year” total control plan.
