ADDLAB facilities
ADDLAB retains equipment in all the above-mentioned categories and continually develops new experimental equipment in order to further expand the prospects of digital manufacturing.
Below you can find the list of our available equipment
ADDLAB has a number of these easy-to-use FFF desktop 3D printers, including Ultimaker 3, Ultimaker 2, Ultimaker 2+, and Ultimaker 2 GO. At ADDLAB the machines are equipped with PLA material and are accessible to students after taking part in the course ENG-A1009 - Practical Work Training with 3D-printers.
Developed by Stratasys company, uPrint® SE Plus 3D printer is a filament extrusion machine with support, suitable for designing precise prototypes from a CAD design. The printer has a maximum build area of 203 x 203 x 152 mm.
The Intamsys Funmat HT Enhanced is a Fused Filament Fabrication machine designed specifically to 3D print high-performance functional materials like PEEK, PEI and PPSU, and other engineering thermoplastics. The build volume of the machine is 260 x 260 x 260 mm.
Composer A4 is a professional desktop printer that uses Composite Fibre Co-extrusion (CFC) technology. The machine is used for design and production of optimal composites through continuous fibre 3D printing. The build volume of the machine is 297 × 210 × 148 mm.
Brinter® is a modular 3D bioprinter. The machine institutes Rapid Prototyping Technology, streamlining endless bio applications. Automate fabrication of anatomically correct biological structures with computer models through sequential material layering.
Designed by XYZ Printing Inc., the da Vinci Color is a FFF full-colour 3D printer which utilizes CMYK inkjet technology to produce quality full-colour 3D prints. Max. Build Area 200 x 200 x 150 mm.
A 3D food printer developed by Natural Machines company targeted for home and professional kitchens. This paste extrusion machine uses an open capsule system and fits up to 5 food capsules. The rotating base diameter of the machine is 278 mm.
The M3D Crane is a dual extruder desktop 3D printer made by M3D, a manufacturer based in the US. The printer’s dual extruder is also capable of mixing two colours together, for gradient-coloured 3D prints. The build volume of the machine is 214 × 214 × 230 mm.
The Geeetech i3 is designed and manufactured by Shenzhen Getech Co. The machine supports different types of filament including ABS, PLA, Wood-Polymer, Nylon, and flexible PLA. The printing area of the machine is 200 x 200 x 180 mm.
At ADDLAB we have 6 other experimental in-house built extrusion-based printers used for research and development.
The EOS M 290 is an industrial metal printer that can print an extensive range of validated metal materials. At ADDLAB the machine is equipped with zero point fixation and EOSTATE Exposure OT, which is the only solution in industrial 3D printing based on optical tomography. EOSTATE Exposure OT monitors the entire build process, regardless of the part size, which reduces the cost of non-destructive testing after the build process is complete. The construction volume of the machine is 250 x 250 x 325 mm.
This machine is a high precision benchtop Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) printer. The machine uses a high power laser to sinter small particles of polymer powder into a solid structure. The machine can print materials such as Flexa/TPE and PA. Size of print bed is 150 x 200 x 150 mm.
- SLS 100 W
The SLS 100 W system is an in-house built experimental Selective Laser Sintering printer for polymer 3D printing. The machinery is primary used for research and development.
Developed by Stratasys Ltd., the Objet30 3D printer can create single material parts with smooth surfaces, small moving parts, and details like thin walls. Objet30 offers a variety of material options to speed up product development. The build volume of the machine is 294 x 192 x 148.6 mm.
Developed by 3D Systems Inc., the ProJet MJP® 3600W 100% RealWax micro-detail is suitable for high fidelity precision metal casting patterns for high-capacity production. The net build volume of the machine for HD mode is 298 x 183 x 203 mm.
