Offline use of Matlab on an Aalto-Mac
Use of Matlab, installed on an Aalto Mac through the Managed Software Center, requires a network connection to Aalto’s license servers (such as VPN). Later on, Matlab can be changed to use a “home use license”. Activation of an alternative license requires the creation of an ID for Mathworks.
It is not necessary to install Matlab again manually, but license details are available in the download.aalto.fi service: https://download.aalto.fi/staff/Matlab/Matlab_TAH_for_Faculty_home.pdf
You can start the license exchange program as follows:
1. Copy Host ID from the Mathworks site (Donwload License File) to the folder Applications -> Matlab -> licenses.
2. Restart Matlab
