We are constantly developing our campus to be financially, environmentally and socially sustainable. As part of campus development, joint services and university leadership will relocate closer to the centre of the campus, making them more easily accessible to the entire university community.

The plan is to relocate Dipoli staff to the Undergraduate Centre (Otakaari 1), a central location in the heart of the campus. The Undergraduate Centre currently houses Learning Services, IT Services and Language Centre.

Dipoli will continue to host a student restaurant and various events. Other spaces will be rented out for new activities.

Preliminary schedule for the relocation

The timeline for the move from Dipoli will be clarified during autumn 2024. According to the preliminary plan, a part of Aalto EE's operations in Aalto Töölö will move to Dipoli in summer 2025. This will lead to the vacating of Dipoli's premises starting in March–April 2025.

Service units and teams affected by the relocation can participate in the planning during the autumn of 2024 and the winter of 2025. The service directors will discuss potential space solutions in the autumn and winter of 2024. Common working practices will be addressed in workshops in early 2025.
