Identity card in Aalto University
In accordance with the principles of the open campus, the university staff members must use an Aalto University visual identity card and a guest must use a visitor card when moving around the university premises.

Aalto University visual ID card is issued to those who come to the university for longer-term employment (more than 6 months).
Photographs for the visual ID card are taken at a photo booth located next to Väre's lobby service. You can register at the lobby service and personnel will give you further instructions. It only takes a few minutes to take a picture. The booth is easy to use and instruction are also given inside the booth. Find here Väre's lobby services opening hours.
- If the duration of your employment is 6 months or less, collect a visitor card from the nearest lobby service.
- Graduate students don't need to get an visual ID card, but always keep your student card with you.
