Innovation Services (IS) serves researchers and the Aalto community at large in the further development of innovations and commercialisation activities. IS manages intellectual property protection in collaboration with researchers and carries out technology transfers with a wide range of companies, from growth companies to large international corporations. The service aims to transform research ideas generated at Aalto into products with a societal impact through commercialisation and successful technology transfer.

The Innovation Services assess the technical and commercial potential of the invention, its patentability and the team's capacity to act, all of which are needed in the commercialisation process.
