Aalto University's wellbeing route
The Otaniemi campus has a shared wellbeing route of about 1.5 kilometres, open to all. You can walk at your own pace at any time, listening to yourself and the sounds of your surroundings along the way.
The wellbeing route takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. It is not intended to be a hurried walk, but to provide a moment of relaxation in the middle of a day of work or study, for example. The route is made up of five points, each with a theme of observing emotions, nurturing a relationship with nature, embodiment, calming down and reflecting on moderation.
The wellbeing route was implemented in 2023 together with Aalto University's wellbeing actors (study and career guidance psychologists, guidance counsellors, Oasis of Radical Wellbeing and Aalto chaplains), ACRE and partners (Unisport, YTHS, AYY). The route is coordinated by Starting Point of Wellbeing, which offers low-threshold guidance and advice to Aalto students in challenges related to learning ability and wellbeing.
The wellbeing route consists of five different points, marked with blue-coloured signs. Each point has its own theme. The route can be followed in any order. The map below shows the stops along the wellbeing route.
