‘I myself feel that crying is part of being human. Humanity and strong human contact are often rooted in things that make us vulnerable. I wound up painting a portrait of my husband titled Men don’t cry for our Thought = Humanity course. The man in the portrait is, however, pictured as being very sensitive and vulnerable. It was beautiful to see how impressed he was with the finished work, saying he wanted it on display at our home.’
