Collaborative and Industrial Design

Emerging Designs II

This studio course continues the students' design project from Emerging Designs from the previous Fall. During the course, students will apply design to build knowledge of the conceptual propositions, by performing a validation of the concept or a key feature of it. The students will plan the validation, plan and execute the necessary prototypes and materials, perform the study, and report it in form of a short academic paper. The concept proposal will be presented to relevant stakeholders. The course encourages students to present their concepts to stakeholders for feedback, thereby melding professional insight with academic rigor. This approach not only hones students' design competencies but also prepares them to tackle complex design challenges with a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
