Byte Latent Transformer: Patches Scale Better Than Tokens
LLM seminar event on Jan 15th
About the seminar
One short paper presentation from one of the participants (10-15 slides) followed by discussion of the paper and related topic for the rest of the session.
Every week, on Wednesdays at 1.30pm to 2.30pm in CS Department. More up-to-date information is available on the individual events.
We'll use a Slack channel where all the presentation slides will be posted and further discussions will happen, and we’ll also have the option to join remotely (both links at the end of the message).
Every participant is asked to volunteer to present one paper of their choice along the seminar and we’ll make a schedule that fits everyone’s needs and availability after the first session. Once we run out of presenters, we repeat the cycle and arrange the presentation schedule as needed.
Any student or staff passionate about the latest research on Large Language Models. We'll assume you are familiar with the basics techniques behind models such as ChatGPT and have some experience in reading scientific papers, anything more you can make up with passion and asking questions.
If you are not sure if the seminar does for you or not, just pass by a couple of times and make up your mind without any pressure!
