Metrology Research Institute Doctors' Club
MRI Doctors' club gathers together doctors, who have graduated from Metrology Research Institute during its existence.
The purpose of the club may be summarised as:
- Meeting the old friends once working with the Institute
- Exchange of information between the participants
- Support of graduate students at Metrology Research Institute
The club gathers together once a year. The chairman of the club is presently Dr. Antti Pietiläinen (Nokia) and the secretary is Dr. Petri Kärhä (Aalto). Minutes of the most recent meetings:

Today he is working as a business development manager with Stena Recycling. |

Jari Hovila New Measurement Standards and Methods for Photometry and Radiometry Senior research scientist at the Earth Observation division of the Finnish Meteorological Institute. His work focuses on the development of the EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facility on Ozone and Atmospheric Chemistry Monitoring (O3M SAF) that, when operational, will produce near-real-time data of total ozone, ozone profiles and clear sky ultraviolet fields. |

Atte Haapalinna Characterization Methods for Silicon Photodiode and Silicon Sub-Surface Properties In 1998 Atte joined Okmetic Oyj, a silicon wafer manufacturer. His thesis combined characterization studies on silicon sub-surfaces with spectroscopic research at MRI. He is currently working as an application manager with Okmetic. |
