Aalto ARTS Summer School exhibition, Circular Economy and Co-Design
Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture is hosting a two-week summer school course from 1 August to 12 August, bringing together seven universities from around the world. We are proud to work with this year’s partner universities: Singapore University of Technology and Design, Technológico de Monterrey, Parsons School of Design (The New School), The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, Politecnico di Milano and Delft University of Technology.
The theme of the course held on Otaniemi campus is Circular Economy and Co-Design. The course content was planned together with the participating universities. Multi-disciplinary workshops, lectures and company visits help to explore the change needed to transform the current linear economy towards a circular one.
The course comes to an end on Friday 12th of August with an exhibition portraying ideas on helping the shift towards circular economy, while integrating concepts such as finding scenarios and pathways towards a desired future, designing for circular systems and prototyping solutions for product design.
