Beat the Blues: From winter-blues to embracing winter

Finnish winter is sometimes considered dark and never-ending, but it is not all bleak and miserable. In fact, there are many ways you can embrace the season and find joy even during the gloomiest of days! Join our Beat the Blues session to hear and discuss some concrete ideas for making the most of the upcoming wintertime. It doesn't matter whether you have recently arrived in Finland or have lived here for longer, you are very welcome to join us to learn more and share your thoughts with others!

Have you heard stories about a long and dark Finnish winter? Are you wondering how to get through the season, let alone enjoy it? No worries, you are not alone and there are actually many ways to find joy during the winter season in Finland!

This autumn’s last Beat the Blues event will concentrate on going from winter-blues to embracing winter. We will start with an introduction to the topic (by Aino Turunen) by sharing some practical tips, in addition to concrete ideas on how you can embrace the wintertime. The session will also include workshopping around these themes, offering a space and time for discussing and reflecting with other international students. Snacks are provided!

Please register in advance using the registration link above. Registration gives us valuable information for practical arrangements.
