Dr. Gautam Basu, Aalto University School of Business Professor of Practice in Logistics, will give a talk on ‘Navigating a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, & Ambiguous World with Operations Leadership'.
We are living in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. Global pandemics, geo-political conflicts, inflationary pressure, energy transition, climate change, cyber risk, trade disruptions, technology uncertainty, and labor shortages have all contributed to this phenomena. As a result, organisations have had to respond to global demand - supply imbalances, business continuity, and personnel safety challenges. Operations leadership is essential in addressing the supply and demand disruptions, adaptation, and operational resilience of business organizations. In this talk, we explore the critical role of operations leadership in navigating in an increasingly VUCA world.
At the end of the seminar, we have reserved time for questions from the live and online audience. You can send your questions on the Presemo platform: https://presemo.aalto.fi/bbbs2104.
Invitation to the live event will be sent to collaborators, supporters, and to all alumni of the School of Business.
