Description

Export control, sanctions and research security are important emerging themes within the European research landscape. If you are conducting or supporting research, it is important to understand what these terms mean and which of them constitute mandatory, legally binding law. Come join this event to learn more about export control, sanctions and research security, more specifically:

  • introduction to export control of dual-use items, sanctions and research security
  • what technology and software are dual-use products
  • what is the relation between scientific publications and export control

Prior to the event, we suggest you study Aalto University’s internet pages on responsible internationalisation.

Who can participate?

Please note that some of content (services, etc.) are Aalto University specific and based on the EU and national legislation of Finland. The webinar is aimed at Aalto University researchers who are interested in learning more about the topic, but anyone interested can join. No prior knowledge is required. The webinar is free and open to all.

Format

A 1.5-hour webinar with a presentation and a Q&A.
