How can we bring about a positive change in the world of textile manufacturing and design?
New landscapes in textile design proposes solutions by focusing on increasing sustainable textile production through digital prototyping, repurposing leftover yarns, and combining print with woven jacquard fabrics to optimise dye and material usage. These methods can reduce environmental impact by minimising textile waste and decreasing the consumption of raw materials.
The exhibition encourages us to rethink manufacturing techniques and colour use in textile design, respecting the characteristics of the materials.
