Welcome to learn and improve your Finnish language skills! 

As a member of Aalto University staff you have the opportunity to participate in Finnish language conversation groups in the autumn of 2024. The conversation groups are facilitated by teachers from the Read Together network.

The conversation groups are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoons from 16:30 to 17:30. 

• Tuesday group is a beginner group focused on managing everyday communication situations. The goal is to master basic Finnish phrases for social interactions and everyday communication, as well as describing everyday matters.
• Thursday group is for more advanced learners with ability to briefly justify and explain opinions and plans.
   

Participating in the conversation group does not obligate you to attend all the autumn meetings. Before joining the group for the first time, please contact [email protected] so that we are aware of how many participants there will be. 

When: 

• Tuesdays from 10.9. to 10.12.2024 at 16:30 – 17:30, no meeting during the autumn break week 42
• Thursdays from 12.9. to 12.12 at 16:30 – 17:30, no meeting during the autumn break week 42
