Lohmann’s seaweed sculptures have gained attention and debate also at the Venice Biennale in 2019, and in 2020 they won both the award and the public vote of the world's most popular and influential architecture and design magazine Dezeen in the category of sustainable design.

From November 16, the Hidaka Ohmu seaweed pavilion will be on display in a large retail space which will also serve as Lohmann's pop-up studio for her two research projects: the Baltic Sea Laboratory and BioColour.

Due to the corona restrictions, the pavilion and Lohmann’s research workshop can be viewed through the large shop windows. The work is on display around the clock, and its skilful lighting is provided by Aalto Studios. The installation has been organised by Aalto's art coordinator Outi Turpeinen.
