Tackling the talent shortage with Finnish and Swedish skills - a Kielibuusti event

How does the increasingly international work life benefit from multilingualism? What kind of a role do language skills have in enhancing the integration of international talents? In this event you will hear interesting speeches about the importance of language skills in the work and highlights of the solutions developed in the project.

Welcome to celebrate the journey of the Kielibuusti project! The ways to support the learning of national languages and develop effective multilingual practices needed in the increasingly international work life are at the centre of the event.

at 15-16 Networking with some small bites for the on-site participants

Join the closing event of the project onsite at Aalto University campus in Espoo or watch a live stream. The on-site event has a limited number of seats.

During 2021-2024 the Kielibuusti project has developed tools to help internationals to learn Finnish or Swedish. Kielibuusti has received Aalto University's recognition award Aalto Success Enabler in 2023, together with massive open online courses Finland Studies and Finland Works.

Aalto University and University of Helsinki jointly coordinate the project, and Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia Universities of Applied Sciences participate in the project. Kielibuusti is part of the Talent Boost service proposition of the higher education institutions and the Ministry of Education and Culture. The service proposition comprises measures which higher education institutions use to boost the integration of international students and researchers into Finnish society and their entry into the Finnish labour market.
