Previous Alumni Strategy Circle After Work events have covered the following topics:
“I participated in the event because sustainability is directly linked to my own work and our company strategy. I joined because I wanted to get out of my silo and hear what others think, learn from their insights, and hear also best practices from market runners in coal-intensive market”, says Tiia Pirttimaa, Aalto alumna and Business Development Manager from Caverion. She participated in the after work event that shared insights on sustainability and strategy.
"The plan is to have an event about every three months, always involving both the academic and practitioner side and an opportunity for discussion, exchanging ideas and best practices, and networking”, explains Jens Schmidt, a strategy professor and the head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. He co-initiated the strategy circle and facilitates the events.
