Health Technology House (HTH) unites research groups whose work revolves around electrical devices, neuroscience, or related signal processing. The House contains most of the faculty of the School of Science Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering. Examples of research focus areas are medical imaging equipment, neurological therapy devices, rehabilitation technologies, and neurosciences. Faculty and staff in the House produce research with high scientific quality, and there is high productivity in innovation as well.
Otakaari 3, completed in 1959, was designed by Sirkka and Aarne Piirainen. There are two public entrances to the building: from the north (Otakaari 3 A) and from the west (Rakentajanaukio 2 C).
