Appointments at the School of Chemical Engineering

The School of Chemical Engineering has appointed Jukka Hassinen as Development Manager and Sanna Hellstén as FinnCERES flagship Manager.

Doctor of Science (Technology) Jukka Hassinen has been appointed as Development Manager of the School of Chemical Engineering. Jukka has previously worked as a project coordinator at the Department of Applied Physics at the School of Science and most recently as Academic coordinator at the department of Bioproducts and Biosystems, where he has been responsible for managing the FinnCERES Flagship.

Doctor of Science (Technology) Sanna Hellstén has been appointed as FinnCERES Flagship Manager at Aalto. Sanna has experience in separation and purification technologies, biorefineries, sustainable textiles, and technology scale-up. Moreover, Sanna has experience in project and team work management as she was coordinating the construction of Ioncell® pilot plant. Recently, Sanna has been working on risk assessment and occupational safety.
