Changes to internal communications at the School of Engineering

The development of the new aalto.fi environment has reached its next milestone, as the internal communications that were previously found on the Inside intranet have moved to become part of the new website system. Inside has been closed and archived.
Internal communication

Going forward, the internal news of the School of Engineering will appear on the school's front page at eng.aalto.fi. Aalto University's internal news can be found in the new For Aalto community page.

Please note that the internal news feed will only be visible after signing in to the website with your Aalto credentials. You can sign in through the link in the top-right corner of the page. At the top of the page you will also find the Tools menu, which includes quick links to regularly used online tools.

Services can primarily be found in the Services hub, accessible through the main navigation bar at the top of the page. Services content has been pared back to reduce the amount of school-specific pages in cases where the content is largely the same across all schools.

Information about the management of the school and the various bodies operating within it can be found in the School of Engineering Governance hub, which is also linked on the front page. At the moment, the governance hub can also be viewed while signed in, but the aim is to make as much of the information available to the public as data security and related guidelines allow.

As a rule, documents relating to the work of these bodies (meeting minutes etc.) will not be uploaded to aalto.fi. The opportunity to view these files in the electronic document and records management system SAHA is under construction. Until then, please request any documents from the body's listed contact person.

In brief

  • For Aalto community features current news and events for everyone at Aalto University.
  • The School of Engineering front page displays feeds for the school's internal news and events for signed-in users.
  • School of Engineering Governance collects information about the governance of the school and the bodies that make up the governance system.
