COIN Videothon sparked interest in making science videos

Researchers in the COIN organized a "Videothon" to encourage the making of science videos about their research.

The COIN Finnish Centre-of-Excellence in Computational Inference Research Videothon took place on August 21, 2015, and begun with each of the participants describing a research result and discussing ideas. The full day event included script writing, shooting video, recording voice-over, and editing. The videos took part in a competition where a programme committee watched and evaluated each of the videos. The three best videos were awarded prizes.

All the videos are available on YouTube (click here).

The competition also had a poster track with similar awards. For a list of winners, see COIN Highlight talks and Posters.
