Aalto University Data Hub (AUDH) invites applications for a

Coordinator (part-time)

from 1.10.2024 or as per agreement to 31.12.2024 with a possibility of an extension at Aalto University Otaniemi in Espoo, Finland.

The position is at the Department of Finance, School of Business. AUDH is a research infrastructure organization consolidating and disseminating data from several sources into a single university-wide data hub. It facilitates easy access to commercial and unique, high-quality datasets for faculty and students. AUDH enables researchers to boost productivity by removing data-related obstacles and provides support for data-related technical issues and acquisitions.

Requirements
A suitable candidate is a self-starter and with good organizational skills. The position requires attention to detail and interest in website development. Background in data driven field of study (e.g., accounting, computer science, economic, finance) or research is a plus.  An ideal candidate also has strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively communicating complex data issues.
Key tasks of the coordinator are expected to be:
•    Communicate with researchers and faculty across Aalto University to identify potential data sources to be included in AUDH data catalogue
•    Communicate with internal and external parties involved in developing the website and other services (e.g., web-developers, Aalto IT, Aalto Communications, and data providers)
• Maintain and participate in development of datahub.aalto.fi (knowledge of Drupal is considered a plus) – for example add/modify data sources and research programs
•    Participate in the development of new services and products for AUDH
•    Write communications such as articles for Aalto-newsletters
•    Manage AUDH email and respond to user queries and/or refer questions to relevant party
•    Help arrange promotional activities to raise awareness about the Data Hub within Aalto University as well as externally
•    Maintain records and knowledge of license contracts, research programs etc.

Exact role can be somewhat tailored based on candidate’s strengths as well as candidate’s long-term career aims and interests. This position can be flexibly combined with studies and working hours vary, but are generally flexible. We expect 10-20h of work per week.

Salary
Salary is 18€ per hour for BSc student and 20€ per hour for MSc student paid monthly. The position includes occupational healthcare.
