Development Manager

We are now looking for a Development Manager to join the Aalto School of Chemical Engineering management team.

As Development Manager you will daily support the Dean and will be part of management team to help plan, implement and follow-up the school’s strategic plan and ensure that the school operations are in accordance with the principals of Aalto University’s quality policy. You will help prepare and coordinate the visits of the School of Chemical Engineering Scientific Advisory Board and other assessments set by Aalto University.  You will act as chair of the school’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group and in other roles as agreed with the Dean.

You work in close collaboration with the university-level development and leadership support teams, and you are accustomed to the agile approach to the development of processes. You collect and analyze data in support of the leadership team. Within the school you work closely with the heads of departments and Dean’s management team. You will also lead a small team consisting of the school’s Departmental assistants.

We expect from you:

  • independent and flexible way of working

  • good people and communication skills

  • excellent organizational and negotiation capacities

  • ability to analyze complex information and present the results clearly and concisely

  • good ability to use different digital tools

  • experience in strategic development of organizations

  • experience with quality management and quality development processes

We consider as an advantage:

  • excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (knowledge of Finnish is not required but is also considered an advantage)

  • doctoral degree

  • familiarity with university procedures

This permanent position is located on the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi (Espoo). The salary range of this position is 5500 € - 6500 € /month.

We hope the new recruit would be available to start work in the beginning of December.
