You will work directly with Aalto researchers or research groups applying for funding. You will be responsible independently for the grant writing service to proposals and researchers assigned to you. However, you will receive support from the other research funding experts on the team. The recruited Grant Writer will support researchers from all over Aalto University.
Your experience and ambitions
We require a doctoral degree in one of Aalto University’s research areas (or close to one) and excellent spoken and written English language skills. Finnish proficiency is considered an advantage.
In addition, other preferred skills, knowledge, and abilities are:
- experience in successful research funding proposals
- good knowledge of major European and Finnish research funding instruments
- some knowledge of US research funding instruments
Besides, we value:
- self-initiative and proactive behaviour
- ability to cooperate and high motivation in challenging customer service duties
- enthusiasm in editing and writing texts
