One Postdoctoral Researcher (fixed term – one year)

We are looking for a Post-Doc researcher for one year (100%) to get started with our multi-disciplinary research project on regulation and green investments. We specifically focus on how selected regulatory policies on both biodiversity and climate impact multinationals’ decision-making regarding the location of their green investments.

Our expectations

The Post-Doc researcher would have a pivotal role in getting started with the research and working on the new proposal for next application round. S/he would plan on the suitable research methods (e.g. sampling, type of interviews) with the project team and would get started with the ethics review, preliminary interviews and other data collection. This would include collecting data from secondary sources, such as company annual reports, industry reports and global input-output tables.

Your experience and ambitions

We look for scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in a relevant field of study (e.g. management studies, social sciences, communication). Ideal candidate would have strong qualitative research skills and a broad understanding of sustainability issues. No legal expertise is needed as it is covered by the corporate law members of the research team. The applicants should have demonstrated the ability to conduct research independently and to publish in high-quality scholarly journals. The positions require fluent skills in the English language. Fluency in Finnish is a merit.

Post-doctoral researcher is required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The starting date of the employment relationship can be negotiated, ideally commencing November 1st 2024 or shortly after.

These Postdoctoral Researcher positions are fixed-term positions for 1 year. The expected starting salary for a Postdoctoral Researcher is approximately 4391,71 €/month (income before deduction of taxes), depending on experience and qualifications.
