We are now looking for a Test Manager to join our unit.

Your role

We are looking for a Test Manager for our software development unit (IT Services / IT Development) at Aalto. The role includes the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Develop a common testing framework for software development at Aalto
  • Oversee the testing and quality assurance of information systems
  • Implement and manage testing methods, tools, and automation (including CI/CD pipelines)
  • Assess system accuracy and quality, and coordinate audits when necessary
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, solution owners, and project managers across various projects
  • Provide hands-on support and mentoring for development teams in testing best practices
  • Support projects in test planning and identifying critical production points
  • Ensure the sufficient quality of test materials and maintain documentation and guidelines
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, and develop comprehensive training programs for Aalto staff

What we are looking for

What will help you to succeed and enjoy working in this position:

  • Experience with various testing methods, quality assurance processes, and standards
  • Knowledge and experience in testing coordinator or management roles
  • Understanding of business needs, a holistic view of how technology solutions impact business processes
  • Knowledge of testing automation. Knowledge about GitHub is considered a plus
  • You actively follow the field and have a good understanding of the latest trends
  • Understanding of modern IT solutions, cloud services, and their utilization is essential
  • Higher education degree in a technical or commercial field
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Our working languages are English and Finnish, so we hope that you can communicate well in both English and Finnish
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a unit & a team
  • Ability to take responsibility even during busy schedules
  • A passion for the field and enthusiasm for constant innovation and learning are highly valued
