Virpi Sorsa

I lead a research project focusing on the executive education as strategy practice at the Aalto University School of Business and University of Jyväskylä Strategy & Entrepreneurship Group, Finland. I aslo service as the Past Chair for Strategic Activities and Practices Interest Group in the Academy of Management in 2021-2022. My research interest is strategy work and most of my publications deal with inclusive and discursive aspects of strategizing. My previous projects have focused on strategizing in city organizations. For example, I was a head of an ethnographic research project in which I assessed together with my colleague Jouni Virtaharju the leadership changes in the city of Helsinki, Finland. My work has been published in Organization Science, Organization, Management Communication Quarterly, Discourse and Communication, and Journal of Business Research, and in edited books.
