Janni Kerkkänen, a student in the Master’s Programme in Mechanical Engineering, was surprised that she didn't have to work on mopeds or lawnmowers all her life to study mechanical engineering. For her, the best thing about her studies is versatility and working together in student organisations.
Gabriel came to the Geoinformatics Master’s programme with an unusual background, but managed to catch up and learn the essential technical and theoretical skills. Now besides his studies, he is working with primary data collection for research purposes.
Emily Johnson chose Aalto University after finding out that the Master’s programme director at the time specialized in her exact area of interest. In her Master’s studies she wanted to pursue skills to involve the community in the designing and planning process. Since graduating she has worked in a company that provides a community engagement platform made for planners.
Mikko Koskinen is a co-founder of Kyrö Distillery Company. He studied his master’s Mechanical Engineering, where he specialized in Product Development.

Alumnus Johannes Tervo is heading partnerships at The Upright Project. He studied his master’s in Advanced Energy Solutions Energy Conversion Processes, which helped him to understand how the world works and solve problems by applying first principle thinking with the help of math and physics.
