Programme Management Services

The Programme Management Services team is part of Aalto's joint Learning Services (LES). We support the development and management of degree programmes and education, and work with processes related to internationalization. In addition, we offer and develop the Learning Services communication, and provide translation and proofreading services.

Support services for planning, development and internationalisation of education

We are responsible for the services for degree programme management at the university level. We produce the programme director’s handbook, onboarding material and Educational Leadership Forum and trainings. We support the planning of the teaching in the degree programmes and help in the preparation of international education agreements. We maintain tuition fee processes and are responsible for coordinating the funding applications for the mobility of university students and staff.

We maintain digital services for programme management support and teaching planning: for programme directors the Programme director’s annual clock and Degree programme report tool, for teachers Curriculum Planner and ASIO.

Learning services communications and translation services

We are responsible for the internal communication support services for learning services and we coordinate student communication. Student communication coordinates Student Guide, the development of its instructions and processes, and collects user feedback. Aalto's translators offer language services to the staff. Translation and language services and other language advice are offered in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Programme director's handbook

The programme director's handbook is a collection of guidelines, templates, and good practices. The handbook gathers together information about processes, schedules and tools and the aim is to support degree programme directors, heads of majors and others involved to succeed in implementing, evaluating and developing the degree programmes.

Programme Director’s Annual Clock is a tool for programme directors in service platform to help manage the programme and anticipate to Aalto University's time-related educational processes. The tool offers a uniform way to describe and view the educational processes, including the descriptions and instructions of the tasks related to processes.
