FITech network university
FITech (Finnish Institute of Technology) is a network that consists of nine Finnish universities providing education in the field of technology. Aalto University coordinates the activities of the FITech network.
FITech was established to enhance collaboration in the field of technology. The goal is to direct experts in the field of technology towards Finland's growth sectors and meet the emerging skill needs in the technology sector. Through FITech, free courses are available to everyone in areas such as information technology, 5G technology, hydrogen economy, and energy storage.
Summer School
Aalto University Summer School offers two-week multidisciplinary academic courses and programs in July and August. In addition to that, we organise customised study tours for groups around the year. The courses are targeted at an international audience, and most of our course participants are degree students in foreign universities interested in gaining international experience and exploring new topics.
In autumn, the summer school team collects commercially interesting course topics and recruits teachers for the summer courses. During the spring, the team assists teachers in finalising course plans and executes applicant marketing and summer student selections during the application period (February-May). In addition, the team plans and sells customised study visits in all seasons.
